This poem is about the fleetingness of earthly life and the mockery of materialism. How pleasant is the concept of a return to a more simple way of life. Music to my ears in fact. To toss aside the weight of material things and embrace what really matters. Make the intangible tangible.

Give me a minute to create a poem,

give me a second to think up a purpose,

let me dream, let me believe, let me into

your heart.

To breathe is to live,

to live is to die,

eat and drink fill our bodies,

love and lust fill our hearts.

Construction all around us causes

constriction in between us,

brought together by things but

kept apart by the same.

Remove the pretenses,

strip away tradition,

destroy restrictions,

 so two may feel.
